Serving as a reminder of the vintage age of British cycling this Humber Beeston gentleman's roadster bicycle dating circa 1902/1904 will interest collectors and enthusiasts alike. With its 26 inch frame and 28 inch wheels on Humber rims and outside brake levers makes this an imposing bicycle.The frame number 102287 is clearly embossed on the head with the makers name. The bicycle has all its original black enamel with the remains of the old coach lining and transfers. Humbers trade mark Duplex front forks, fully enclosed detachable oil-bath gear- case with 5/8th pitch roller chain and Humbers distinctive 'Wheel of Life' chainwheel. The bicycle is fitted with the rare Armstrong 3 speed gears, Brooks saddle with a tool bag, Veeder cyclometer and a Lucas Silver King front light and the all important bicycle handlebar bell. There are a number of blemishes to the coachwork with some light surface rust in places but nothing untoward. The tyres are worn and perished through age but there are new replacement tyres available which will accompany the bicycle. Overall this is a very authentic Humber which has not been altered in any significant way and therefore only needs basic commissioning. Any inspection can be arranged & is indeed welcome as is the collection of the bycycle |

1978 Honda Gold Wing GL100. 55,000 miles on the clock, imported from the USA & never registered here in the UK, as before I could use it my workshop was sadly broken into & trashed. The fairing screen & headlamp were smashed, & tank lid dented & so I lost interest in it. There is a replaement headlamp with the bike. She ran fine after being uncrated on her arrival in the UK. |
