1959 Norton Dominator 99 600cc
Priced at SOLD. First registered on the 26th of March 1959, & only two owners from new! The original Yorkshire owner had the bike from brand new, unfortunately he passed away following complications after braking his leg having fallen into a rabbit hole! This Norton then passing to one of his inlaws in 1990, who extensively refurbished the bike, spending £2,644.80 with Mick Hemmings on an engine rebuilt alone. With nearly every fastener on the motorcycle being changed for stainless steel. & the finish being powder coated for durability. The list of bills goes on, with a selection of them being shown below. Unfortunately just at the point of completing the machine illness has forced a most reluctant sale.
Originally Finished in pale blue (special order option colour?), as evidenced by the original bill of sale from Watson-Cairns & Co. Ltd. of Leeds. Has excellent history in the form of the original R.F.60 buff cardboard logbook. Comes with the latest DVLA V5C registration document, is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for free road tax & is MOT exempt.
