1930 BSA L30-5 350cc
Priced at SOLD. This vintage class BSA is unique, not because it is a 350cc side valve model L30-5, but because of its circumstances & condition. The circumstances were that this machine was found bricked up under a staircase, wrapped in grease paper & old clothes! The condition, quite literally untouched & extremely original, even down to the BSA made rear chain, with their own unique joining link (see last two photographs), in all his years with old motorcycles Andy has never seen a pre war BSA in this condition before! There is also a tyre pump under the petrol tank & tools in the toolbox. Old classic motorcycles under these unusual conditions, are very rare indeed. The last owner had the magneto rebuilt, fitted new front brake lingings & new tyres, & she runs nicely! The bike was originally registered new in Essex & luckily the Essex Records Office have a lot of their old vehicle registration records. We have been in contact regarding a Certified Copy of the record for this motorcycle & hope to obtain the registration mark that Essex originally issued for this vehicle from the DVLA. The BSA will qualify for free road tax under the 'Historic Vehicle' class & will also benefit from being MOT exempt.
