c1922 Bown Villiers 343cc
Priced at £7,500. This is an rare early Bown Villiers, these machines being made for only three years (1922 to 1924), although the Bown name did reappear & was used during the 1950's for lightweights. This particular example is one of of the few left (exact numbers unknown) & came to us from a Bown collector with a number of other later models. Has interesting history in the form of an old buff cardboard logbook, which states 'Exact date of registration not known - records destroyed be enemy action (Oxford)'. These is also a letter dated from the Worcestershire County Council Local Taxation Licences Department, dated 20 Nov 1951, aswell as an estimate for work from the Villiers Engineering Company Ltd., dated 21.2.55. She starts readily & has a lusty sounding engine note! We have also fitted a new front tyre. Comes with an old V5 document, also the latest DVLA V5C registration document, is registered for free road tax under the 'Historic Vehicle' class & is MOT exempt.
