1965 Cotton Messenger Mk. 3T Special 325cc
Priced at £5,000. This extremely smart & most rare Cotton dates from 1965, production of the Messenger model officially finished at the end of the 1964 season, but apparently was available to special order during 1965, possibly due to some 3T engine still being in stock at the factory. This particularly attractive bike has come to us from a good friend from Ipswich who part exchanged it for a larger BSA. He used the machine to ride to lots of local events, proving itself to be reliable. During the the last few years an awful lot of money has been spent bringing the bike up to the standard you see hear. Work included an engine rebuild by Villiers Services. There is a wallet file packed with invoices/ receipts, past MOT certificates, a letter from Roy Bacon confirming the Cotton's authenticity, as well as some other paperwork (see photographs below). Comes with the latest DVLA V5C registration document, is registered under the 'Historic Vehicle' class for free road tax & has the advantage of being MOT exempt.
